FFXIV Anima quest is too slow

I am all for making people work for a good weapon, but there is a difference between a decent amount of effort and slavery here. I feel I should grind out the anima since I spent millions of FFXIV Gil on this weapon, but 66/240… The next relic will be out before I finish this! possibly 3.4. By the time I get the weapon there will probably be a new primal that drops better. I think if each sand and umbrite gave 6 instead of 3 it would be okay.

If we count only the tomes you get by doing the roulette itself:

1) Expert: 60 Eso
2) Lvl 60 : 100
3) Lvl 50: 120
4) Leveling: 100
5) Trials 60
6) Frontline: 50
7) Mentor: 30
Total: 520

However the dungeons itself give after completion tomes as well that adds to the daily roulette bonus. It looks like this:

1) Expert: 60 +80
2) Lvl 60: 100 + 100 (if you get antitower or lost city of amdapor (hm), 60 if you get Saint Mocianne, Pharos Sirus, 30 if you get Neverreap, Aetherochemical, Fractal)
3) Trials : 60 + 20 (some give 40 but others give 15 etc. So i went with the plain 20 tomes here)

Excluding the Mentor roulette in this case since it’s 3 pages I would have to list, that’s a total of : 720

Most of the dungeons as well as the trials have new player bonus, that’s another 100 – 35 tomes (varies on dungeon/trial) on top of the daily bonus, and the completion of the dungeon.

So yes you can get 900+ tomes a day, however it’s not guaranteed 900. I would go with the 720 since that’s more likely.

1) Expert: 60 Eso 30 min
2) Lvl 60 : 100 20 min
3) Lvl 50: 120 25 min
4) Leveling: 100 25 min
5) Trials 60 10 min
6) Frontline: 50 15 min
7) Mentor: 30 20 min
Total: 520 220 min 250 min including queue times.

I added the average times.. 4 hours a day ish to grind? so I have to be a video game addict to get this relic?
The social impact on peoples life from 4 hours a day is very negative. That is just on this only.
What if people want to do wondering or an ex primal? my guess thanks to relic, the average weekly play time will be 45hours a week. I might as well just cancel my sub if this continues.
I don’t have 4 hours a day to waste grinding like that. I can play for a couple of hours a day, I don’t always want to grind mid game content to get an end game weapon.
I guess I will have this weapon around December.

Regarding Housing and small suggestion for the Demolish system

Hello, this is not a complain thread over the houses shortage, or anything similar, just suggestions to “improve” the life of those wanting to buy a house, or get rid of their house in a legal/accepted way.

So we are all aware that reselling houses is against the rules and that if someone needs/wants to get rid of their house either because they are transferring servers, or because they do not want to bother with it anymore, or because real life forces them to take a extended break from the game. The only way to properly do this where the player isn’t at major loss, is to wait for the auto demolish time to kick in and give the player back 80% of its value.

This being the case, why not simply make it a rule, where demolished houses gives the player 80% of its value, this being because of auto demolish or because the player chose to get rid of it.

My second suggestion is regarding the items that are bound to the house, and disappear when you leave a FC (in case of FC or private rooms items) or if you demolish your house to buy a new one.

Why this bound system even exists? There are a lot of items, some being hard to get, some even cost real money and some other are events exclusives, they are bound to the plot and you lose them in any of the situations listed above. Wouldn’t it be more fair to the players if these items were not bound to the house, but it became Binding where they are untradeable, so they cannot be resold in the market, but the player can pick them up and store them for future use? it just feels wrong, mainly if you get kicked from a FC and your room rare/bound items disappear.

As for house illegal reselling, sadly I can’t think of many ways to fix this problem, I assume that if players didn’t buy overpriced houses from other players, eventually the sellers would stop buying plots and losing money over it. But, there is always people with too much ffxiv gil and they don’t care for the prices, so it really doesn’t feel like this issue will ever stop, to all honesty, I don’t think house reselling is a great way to make money, but that is just me, and the risk that comes with it, not worth it in my opinion. I rather gather, craft and sell stuff and make just as much money as someone who is trying to resell 1 house and profit from it.

PS4 – Error CE-30022-7 / Unable to download patch files [20512][25008][20525] Error

So, it’s been 6 days.

Patch 3.2 is totally ruined for us, we missed on our chance to enjoy the story with our friends and community, we missed our chance to enjoy battle content and learn them with our friends from scratch, we missed our chance to make FFXIV Gil from impulse buyers in Marketboard, we have been spoiled on everything, we have lost all dailies and weeklies, and we been robbed of 6 days of our hard earned money of our subscription, AND our ISP bills that will be through the roofs for those of us with data caps.
I could forgive all these. I really could.
But Square-Enix has not even acknowledged the issue, has not replied to the numerous topics here with what happened with that error [CE-300022-7] and even then, I took the advice of fellow players, killed my data cap for the month, deleted the entire 40 GBs of data from my PS4, and redownloaded it.
Then I logged in and started to download the patches.

Going to work all day, when I returned……
“Unable to download patch files [20512][25008][20525]”
I’m sorry, but I want to know how I can get an immediate refund of my current six month subscription + six month of 6 extra retainers to FINAL FANTASY XIV worth of 116.40 Euros that I bought last week, basically where I can get a live rep to talk through it right now.
Unless Square Enix issues an official response immediately, promises to fix the issues by tomorrow, and extends our subscriptions the whole week of downtime.

Not that this would make things right, as 3.2 is 100% ruined for us.

I never thought of this. I also had done the same thing, bought PS3 Collector’s Edition, and upgraded for free on PS4.
Do you think we will have a problem?

I deleted the whole install, and went to my Library and found FFXIV:ARR there and re-downloaded it alongside its add-on Heavensward.
Right now I’m trying to install the patches a 2nd time (5 GB/9.5 GB so far, crosses hands), if for any reason any problem happens again and I can’t access my paid product, and Square-Enix doesn’t officially respond by tomorrow, I may have to pursue this legally.

I will still be demanding my 6 days back even if all goes well, because I have been locked out of what I paid for these 6 days, without a word from Square-Enix.

The Housing problem and my proposed solution

Good day forumites! With the news that the development team is finally considering having a decay on the current housing system it’s become a bit of a hot topic on the forums.

Personally I find that this is something that is needed, but is a bandaid to a broken system that needs to be re-worked from the ground up. But first we need to identify the main problems with the system as it stands.

The problem!
Housing is limited and in extreme demand
Players can retain housing no matter current subscription status or even banned
Players can buy MULTIPLE houses
Individual Players share the same space with free companies
Rapid inflation of FFXIV Gil means more and more players can afford housing further increasing scarcity
Players in general treating the game as a solo endeavor rather than a group.
Currently due to the haphazard release of personal housing the housing situation has only become more and more dire as time has passed due to the lack of being unable to revoke housing plots of inactive players. Problems also arise regardless of this fact due to the popularity of housing in general, there is no way to accomidate every single player with their own plot of land in a housing in a ward.
